Looking for somewhere kinda cheap say £300, nice and sunny with nice little boutiques and resteraunts, but has fun activities like rowing etc. Not personally into lying on a beach for a week too boring. Basically nowhere dull. Any ideas? Ive never booked a holiday before myself. I will be travelling with my boyfriend. Oh and nothing clubby.

Spain would probably be the best idea..
I like Turkey and Portugal.. if you leave them and book them later you will get them cheaper aswell..

I suggest the former communist counties of Czech Republic and Hungary. The capital cities of Prague and Budapest are both fascinating and very different, interesting and historic cities. Prices of accommodation in this part of Europe are generally lower than in most countries.Getting around by train is also cheap and in the rural areas you can really relax among beautiful scenery and very friendly people, who do not pester you for money like further south.
Although Prague and Budapest are both now extremely popular tourist places in Europe and definitely well worth a visit, many other parts of both the Czech Republic and Hungary are very much off the beaten track and "different", You say you do not like beaches. There are no beaches because you are well inland The Danube is also a fascinating River where you can relax
in a unique setting and you will have happy memories for the rest of your lives. Give it a go.

If you're travelling with the boyfriend why not try Paris? It's romantic and restaurants and boutiques abound plus all the sights. Or maybe even Venice where you can get someone to do the rowing for you (on a gondola).

Take a squint at www.tripadvisor.co.uk for the views of real people. The Algarve would fit your criteria or Paleacastritsa, Corfu. Loads of good walks and Corfu Town is fantastic, it has a real cafe' culture. www.skyscanner.co.uk for prices. The Canaries can be a good bet or Barca if you want a week of culture, though there is a 'mugging' problem in some areas. Good luck.

Rhodes or Spain are both good holiday destinations.I have been to Rhodes and enjoyed it very much , we toured the island finding lots to see and the nightlife and beaches are there is you want them.
I live in Spain Near Campello on the Costa Blanca, there is everything you need and more, lots to see and explore and cities to visit.

Sounds like you're looking for a European city break, maybe in a location near to a nice nature area.
Northern Italy would fit the bill.
