alright well here are some of my suggestions....
if you want to go short....
i would cut it like this http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_style/short/style_20.aspx?scroll=167
if you want to keep it about shoulder length try something like this with some nice blunt bangs (i have these bangs and they are sooo cute, they r def a new style!!!!!) http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_style/medium/style_08.aspx?scroll=569
if you want to keep it a little on the longer side...
heres another style with those bangs we like :)
http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_style/long/style_31.aspx?scroll=0
http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_style/long/style_28.aspx?scroll=133

There is this magazine called 101Hairstyles. It has all the latest haircuts and color styles available. That's a good place to start. Also I wouldn't go too short right off, because I can't tell you how many times I have cut or watched someone else cut someones long hair off and the person was in a state of shock and hated their hair. It's better to go a little shorter and then later if you are comfortable with that you can get more cut off. If you cut it all off at once you will be stuck with it until it grows out and that sucks if you don't really like it. Maybe try alot of long layers and cut off about 3 to 4 inches of the length. This is usually a really nice cut that will easily go shorter later if you like. Hope this helps and good luck!

every thing you need to find about hair will be here, check it out. but be sure not to cut all your hair off in the first go, cut you hair in a style the allows you to experiment and be beautiful but don't go for the shock factor. adopting to a new hair style can be hard so maybe getting your hair in step layers would be a good idea because it doesn't cut all your hair off, it just creates a new look with the hair you have.

Hi - here's a great place to have fun seeing what will/will not work with your personal style and face shape, etc.
Clairol try it on studio - you upload a pic of yourself ( after you join - it's free ) and you can try on tons of cuts and colors.
You just need a small head shot type pic with your hair pulled back in a ponytail so you have a clear fact shot to work with.
Have fun !
There are other sites like it out there.
