My best advice is to take it to the dry cleaners. My cap was of a different type of material and if I tried to clean it it would leave spots. I took it to the dry cleaners and they were able to get it clean there after I made sure I put it in a plastic bag.

I'm a chef, and for my coat's i use, believe it, or not liquid cascade dishwashing soap works the best!
