I work 25 hours per week and am already claiming Working Text Credits. I am separated from my husband but he is paying the mortgage on the house as it is an investment for the children. Are there any other benefits I can claim.

Based on your circumstances you have stated. You are eligible for Working Tax Credit(WTC), Child Tax Credit(CTC), Child Benefit from HM Revenue & Customs.
As long as your household income is less than £15050, you are entitled to help with health costs from the Department of Health if your are in receipt of WTC and CTC.
You are not eligible for Free School Meals as you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit.
If you children are young, you may be entitled to Healthy Start vouchers. If they are over the age of 16, but still in full-time non-advanced education, they could claim Education Mainteance Allowance(EMA)
Contact your local authority for information on help with council tax, you should receive a 25% reduction at least if your are the only working adult in the household.
If you feel you cannot meet your everyday living expenses, contact the Tax Credit Helpline on 0845 300 3900 and ask if you can have additional payments, to help you budget.

The helpline can also send you a copy of the HM Revenue and Customs leaflet WTC6, titled 'Other types of help you may be able to get'. This leaflet is extremely useful, providing contact numbers and eligiblity details.

I hope this helps you.

Have a look at the DWP website to see if there's anything else you should be entitled to. Also check out the Tax Credits calculator on the Inland Revenue site to make sure you're getting the right WTC and CTC.

I'm no expert but like most decent members of society you are probably s**ffed.
As for JTaylor's answer - that is clearly someone who has never had to take any responsibility for children (and for his/her information neither have I but at least I realise that it isn't easy)

Work full time, it sucks but it's a reality. Your husband is paying your mortgage, and you are already receiving other help.

Go to the CAB - they will take a look at your whole situation and advise you. There may be things like free school meals, etc.
