Sorry no... I am one of the alleged 50,000 persons who left the island for Carnival.

After masquerading for the last couple of years I found myself feeling anxious over the crime situation and with the contraversy with the Savannah stage...well that was enough to make up mind.
I left Trinidad Friday morning and returned Tuesday lunchtime and still do not feel I have missed a single thing.....
Carnival is in my blood yes.... but the crime and violence was enough to make my blood freeze at the thought of playing mas while constantly looking over my shoulder.

I am, for the third and last time. I'm going crazy right now. I should be jumping up in the streets of POS instead of being up here and freezing my *** off. But i swear it's the last time i'll be crying over missing my carnival.

Yes, but I have to focus on college right now so I will have to hold off on carnival for the next few years. But I would love to be there right now in the Savannah with my Shandy.

Yes, I could bawl. My house is under 4 foot of snow and my only comfort is Machel's Jumbie and Higher than High. I will have to play Caribana this year to make it up!
