It depends how far back in time you want to go....


But currently there are over 100 different religions,

However, the majority is 33% Christian, 18% Islam, 16% Hinduism, 16% non religious ('none', agnostics, secular humanists, atheists, etc.)
6% Buddihism
4% Chinese Traditional (which is their ancient ancestral religion passed down through thousands of years)
4% Primal-indigenous
3% other (Including Judaism)

Absolutetly loads. There are of course the biggies like Christianity, Bhudists, Muslims, Hindus etc but many countries in Africa have tribes who all believe a different thing. Same in S America. Even within the biggies there are difefrent sects

I suppose there is absolutely no way of keeping track of this! There are even cults and sects that consider their own beliefs as religions.

Millions of false and man made religious groups.
Only one eternal religion from the One True God established by His successive Messengers. We can distinguished them by reading the Holy Books.

some ppl are non-religious and in japan most ppl practise Shinto
