When some people talk mushy about love, caring, friendship, bla bla bla with me. My replies were. I care about you as much as you care about me. I love you as much as you love me. I value you as much as you value you. How much do you love me ? How much do you care about me. How much do you value me ? That is how much feeling I have for you. At that point they would get upset at me for telling them the truth.

So you see love as equal between two people? I think that is a great theory. But, when you echo another's words, they probably don't understand how YOU feel. The other person would feel like this, while trying to find out what your fave dessert is. "Sam do you like cherry pie is it your favorite?" and your response, " I like cherry pie as much as you do" That really doesn't give them an answer. Does it.
I'm not judging you. That mushy stuff is tricky. I have made horrid mistakes with it. That is a fact!

Perhaps you over evaluate the relationship, and scare them off. Don't put so much emphasis on the fact of feelings, just go with the flow, and enjoy youselves together. Things will happen naturally, and as the relationship either grows or not, you can pretty much tell by their actions how they feel without going into so much analysis. Good luck!

You haven't actually told them anything at all. What you are doing is known as hedging, and it's where you hide what you mean by saying something unrelated or (in this case) too generic to have any meaning.

Truth is fact with meaning, and I don't see that your answers contain either.

If you were being honest with yourself you would realise this.

maybe you could put it into different words lik e: you make me feel like dancing , you are my sunshine.

Because what ever you say it will have to come from you ,not just a rebound answer from your partners question.Put your feelings in it !

yes, the truth always hurts.
if they really get so upset about it, its your EQ.
try to communicate well with the people around you.
maybe they are just showing how much they cared.

Truth hurts sometimes....when you tell someone the truth...even tho it does it...in the long run they will learn from it and appreciate it.
