Ive been there done that. Two tours. I probably will be going back again before the end of the year.
Taking my uniform off and speaking as a civilian-i think our president is a P.O.S. and the worst president of my lifetime.
But as long as im in the military i will follow orders and support the mission given to us.

II personally think it's terrible and that our young men and women deserve better from there government. We should have never been there to begin with. That said, we are there and our troops deserve and need the best care and support that’s out there.

As with our President? He's an Idiot! Think back to when he first took office. This man managed to get no less than 10 friendly Nations pissed at the US in less than 7 days in office. This should have been a warning all Americans right then and there. I'm still dumb founded as to why he was re-elected, but then look at his opponent?

President Bush is an embarrassment to all of us Texans and the only redeeming thing is that he was not actually born in Texas and that he spent the first 12 years of his life in Connecticut. The true hallmark of a Texan is that we tend to be very stubborn and conservative but we are not without compassion and forethought. We admit when we are wrong and we work to right that wrong. Mr. Bush has none of these qualities, with him it's his way or the Highway. I'm just happy that he can not run for another Term, and hopefully the next President will have some tact and be capable of mending many of the relationships that Mr. Bush has destroyed, not only with other countries but with the People of the United States and those who are giving there life in the name of so called freedom from oppression and stopping terror attacks on the United States when it's really about the money and the oil. Sad Sad Sad, shame on Bush!

On a personal note I'm appalled at SMU for wanting to build the G W Bush Library on there campus. What an embarrassment to such a great school of learning.

Yet keep in mind, opinions are like A**holes, we all have them and they all stink, so please don’t hate me for mine.

Thanks for the question and the opportunity to vent.

I think Mr. Bush is the worst president my country has ever had. He should never have been elected. The only reason he was is because we became complacent..so wrapped up on our own lives that many of us didn't take time to vote.

I always support our troops - no matter where they are. They have been thrown into an impossible situation by the madman in the White House. They are in harms way every second of their lives... How fruitless it is to sacrifice our best and youngest in a war that cannot be won...where one doesn't know who the enemy is. Mr. Bush had no business invading Iraq and sending our troops to be cannon fodder, blown up, killed and maimed. What he has done, in my opinion, is a crime against humanity. He has caused the death of more than 3000 of our own, thousands of wounded, uncounted thousands of innocent Iraqis killed.

Our representatives in Washington are finally, finally taking actions to put an end to the madness. It is a Constitutional process and slow, but at the end of it, Mr. Bush will either stop this war and bring our troops home or he will be removed from office. We brought Nixon down, we can bring Bush down.

I think Mr. Bush will go down in history as the worst U.S. President. Even Mr. Nixon, who was dreadful, didn't cause the death of thousands.

I think it is a bunch of crap, however now that we are there and are the cause for what is going on we cant just say o we screwed up now its your problem. the new troop surge is a bunch of crap as well from what i have read every1 on the ground over there ways that if they are going to bring more troops then it needs to be way more than we are sending. as for the president i think he is the most gulable, ingnorant and stuborn president was have ever had. if it werent for the war we may have enough money in the country to solve some of the problems that have happend here in our own country ie: New Orleans, immigration ect...

The U.S. Armed Forces here and abroad are the best of America's youth and careerists. I support their efforts and the vision that President Bush has in defeating terrorism world-wide.

While I applaud JustDave's comments about soldiering, he knows little of what a U.S. president must do and the restrictions placed upon him by the Senate and the House. The president is doing the best that he can under the circumstances by which he is encircled.
