First of all thank you two guys who took your time and answered me all ten questions!
Since where I live I do not know anyone who strongly believes in god and the bible, this was the only way to find out how religious people think.

But I still have one question left (well, actually a thousand questions, but I cannot expect you to answer them all): you have to admit that your answers on Q4 were VERY unsatisfying. Could you go into detail on that one? I mean just ONE example: the way the bible describes the creation of the world in six days, which we know is complete nonsense. Can you explain me that? I don´t want to make fun of your religion or something - I´m just curious.
Thanks a lot.

1. Why won't God heal amputees:

Why do people continuosly bitchh about this? Stuff happens, deal with it.

2. Why are there so many starving people in our world:
You know, you complain about god neglecting the needy but I never see people say "Hey, the budget for this movie could help millions!" You care about as much as God does and don't deny it. You'll go "Hey, that's true" and then go watch the dvd set you just bought that cost 2 million to make.

3. Why does the God demand the death of so many people:

The only thing I can really think is, for god, dying isn't that big of a deal as you'll just go back to him anyway.

4. Why does the bible contain so much anti scientific nonsense:

Ok, you don't really know all those stories are false, you just go by what fossils and the like tell you.

5. Why is god such a huge proponent of slavery in the bible:

You have servants now, back then it was just more extreme.

6. Why do bad things happen to good people:

Will you stop complaining already!? You people bitchh a lot.

7. Why didn't any of jesus's miracles in the bible leave behind any evidence:

How is that supposed to happen? He healed people, brought back the dead and changed stuff into other stutf, how is any of that supposed to last long enough to give evidence?

8. How do you explain the fact that jesus has never appeared to you:

I've never seen Tom Cruise in person either, yet I've sent him many letters begging him to see me, but he never wrote me back, I guess he was too busy or something, weird....

9. Why would jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood:

Oh FFS, I can't believe they even asked that, you're supposed to be like jesus if you're christian right? The eating his "body" and drinking his "blood" is a way to solidify your relationship with him, it won't exactly do anything but the act of it helps.

10. Why do christians get divorced at the same rate as non- christians:

We have free wil to do whatever we please, just because you're marrying somebody does not necessarily mean god had set it up, god might've had someone totally different in mind for you, but the human body and mind are weak and like a lot of things so chances are, you probably sinned somewhere along the line and fell off the road that would've led you to your soul mate. That or you're just weak.

Ok, I've done my best to answer all your questions, I hope I've done a good job but I don't know, and oh, by the way, I'm not Christian, I just wanted to see if I could reach back into my old ways (I used to be Christian) and answer these, I got most right and they're pretty creative, but not good enough. I don't believe in god either but not because of stuff like this, I found my own way and I don't need evidence to support anything as I do not care what you think, even if it means you will spiritually die at death. One more thing (and this'll sound odd now that you know I don't believe in god), when I was christian, I NEVER asked Jesus to appear to me, i thought about it but then thought "No! Don't you dare appear to me! I don't need you appearing to me to make me believe and have true faith. I'm not that WEAK." It carried over into what I believe now too, I don't want evidence of my beliefs and I sure as hell don't want anything happening to make my belief "stronger" if you need something like that, then your "belief" wasn't very strong to begin with.

I'm with Martha D. Everytime I click on one of these links, it's always something ridiculous. Post the questions and I may answer.

1. Why won´t god heal amputees? Because then, it would be too easy to believe in God. He wants us to believe through faith, with our hearts, not just our eyes.

2. Why are there so many starving people in our world? There are many curses on this earth since the fall of mankind. One day there will be a new earth--with no curses.

3. Why does god demand the death of so many innocent people in the bible? You will have to specify with scene, as so many have different meanings and can easily be taken out of context.

4. Why does the bible contain so much anti-scientific nonsense? The Bible is based on faith. (Why is there so much unproven, scientific nonsense?)

5. Why is god such a huge proponent of slavery in the bible? You will have to read Genesis 9:24 to find out why slavery came about. Many think that Canaan was born black because of a curse on Ham (Noah's son), but Canaan had already been born when the curse came about.

6. Why do bad things happen to good people? There is no good person--says God's Word. Bad things happen to everyone, even happened to Jesus.

7. Why didn´t any of Jesus´ miracles in the bible leave behind any evidence? Evidence was left behind for all to see and write about.

8.How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you? Why is that a problem for you? It's not a problem for me. I still choose to believe.

9. Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood? He does not. We eat an unleavened piece of bread and drink grape juice. It is symbolic.

10. Why do christians get divorced at the same rate as non-christians? Because when you become a Christian, you are still human and you still sin and make plenty of mistakes.

We are not starfish. God heals amputees on the inside. I have a friend who is an amputee. It is very condescending to assume anything if you are not an amputee. For this reason, and the fact that the reasoning is faulty from the beginning, I will not continue with the questions. I assume they were written by someone without an education, and with very little sense. You can pray all you want, but cut your leg off and it's gone. It's not too hard to figure that out. Cut your head off, see what that will do. I know the answer, and God doesn't have to tell me.

I have done this once before, months ago, someone posted this same link, and I sat through the entire very long (over 10 minutes) video and then I answered each and every one of those questions in my answer.

They all have answers. If you want more responses, just cut and paste the 10 questions into your details.

1. Why won´t god heal amputees?
First you suggest that there is something "wrong" with amputees. I disagree. They are just different. We have learned wonderful things about the human body because of them and many amputees have contributed greatly to art, music, science, literature, etc etc. There is a Christian boy who was born with no arms and he can play the most beautiful music I've ever heard on a guitar with his feet.
God uses all things for good for those who love him.

2. Why are there so many starving people in our world?
There is enough food in the world to feed everyone who lives on it. The problem is with resource management. Food doesn't get to where it needs to be because of the sinful actions of humanity. Greed, racism, that sort of thing. Why does this happen? Because God gives us freewill. He wants us to choose good or evil, and many of us choose to do evil.

3. Why does god demand the death of so many innocent people in the bible?
No one is innocent. The Canaanites used to bury their children ALIVE into the walls of their homes for "good luck." Others used to worship the "god" Molech by burning babies on his white-hot arms of the idols. The Assyrians used to make furniture out of human skin and remains. God gave them hundreds of years to change their ways, and they did not. Would you let a rabid dog live out of pity for the dog, or would say enough is enough and put him down?

4. Why does the bible contain so much anti-scientific nonsense?
Part of this is due to poor translation. For example, the "fish" described in Jonah was called a whale, when in fact the word doesn't indicate whale at all, it more accurately translates to "giant water beast." If you visit answersingenesis.org, you will find many answers to the scientific questions.

5. Why is god such a huge proponent of slavery in the bible?
Slavery in the Middle East is an entirely different concept than slavery in America. You should study this. A slave in the Middle East was treated far better than you would imagine. Daniel was a slave and wound up running all of Babylon!

6. Why do bad things happen to good people?
Point 1, there are no "good" people, we are all wicked sinners. Point 2, freewill allows others to do harm, Point 3, God will work all things for good for those who love Him.

7. Why didn´t any of Jesus´ miracles in the bible leave behind any evidence?
There is plenty of evidence in the eye witness testimony left behind in the Bible and other sources (journals, diaries, etc). The miracles served their purpose, they proved who Jesus is (God). We don't need to see any more miracles because we already know.

8.How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you?
If He did appear to someone, and they told you about it, you wouldn't believe them, would you? Second, Jesus said, "blessed are those who believe but have NOT seen." I would rather be counted among those blessed, and Jesus also said "it is a wicked and adulterous generation that seeks after a sign."
You have all the evidence you need to believe, you just won't look at it. You heart is wicked, you have tried to convince yourself there is no God.

9. Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood?
For 900th time, this is SYMBOLIC. Read the story, Jesus broke BREAD, and then said, "this is my body." He didn't rip off one of his fingers and pass it around the dinner table, did He, nor did He cut his wrist and drain His blood into a cup to drink.

10. Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-Christians?
Because Christians are sinners, and they have succumbed to the temptations of the world. We in the Church (big "C" meaning Body of Christ) are trying to change this fact. I, for example, am a woman who has one husband, still married, never been divorced.

too long.. ask one question at a time.....we do not have all day to answer all this...

for example..first question... why doesn't god heal amputees?

most people do not pray or have any faith that God can do anything....God responds to faith... I have seen healings of people..who for example have had whole ears added to the side of their head....where they were born without the ear as a birth defect... so the answer is.... it is possible...

why did jesus ask us to dring his blood?
He was speaking symbolically...it is forbidden for jews to drink blood or eat it in food....not kosher....he .meant we may have to suffer like he did for our....and that we must accept the sacrifice he made for us by taking the punishment for our sins.....

so that is 2 of them...make separate questions out of each one...thanks...

by the way i am a scientist
