the change in your breath is due to ketosis. since you cant have sugar, try chewing on a sprig of watercress or try to find sugar free and or mints made with splenda - not any other sweetener. I used to sometimes such on a piece of cinammon stick

Duh! Of course it is. Your digestive system is not designed to handle a high protein diet. Bad breath, BO, possibly gout, kidney stones, and even kidney failure can be expected if you stick with it long enough.

Go back to a balanced diet.
