you should go further if you are running and expect results!

A brisk walk over that distance would probably lose more fat than running it. For example if you are running @ 7.5 miles/hour ( a pretty average running pace ) you are only doing 20 mins of exercise.
If you walk @ 5 miles an hour ( a brisk walk) you would do 30 mins of exercise and although your heart rate may not be as high you could be burning off more fat.
Done daily this could give you faster results. You could always run further, but do 30 - 40 mins for better results!

Unless you are burning off more than you are taking in weight loss will not happen noticeably. Try eating a little less each day but continue running. If the energy level allows you to be completing your run and still have energy left then you are taking in ample food. If however it becomes a struggle to complete the run and you are famished after then the amount you cut back was too great. Rmember also to drink plenty of fluids as running may cause a depletion in liquids which are essential for the body to burn energy. Good luck.

When did you start your running?

I walk 2.5 miles a night, eat properly and in 6 months lost 50 pounds. The weight loss will come

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Unless you cut down on the calories, you will never see a weight loss, however, you will redistribute your weight. Your clothes will fit different and you will be stronger. I used to run marathons and the number on the scale never changed. I think burning energy made me hungry so I was always eating and that's the good news - you can eat whatever you want and never gain a pound. Good Luck and enjoy your running

You can see them at the end of the week....a mirror may not be the best way to tell...because we see ourselves everyday. Invest in a good set of scales....and only weigh once a week...the same day and roughly the same time....always naked. You should see a decrease every week....watch the diet closely and mix up the running a bit...throw in some quick spurts occasionally and do one longer run per week to test your fitness level,,,maybe a 3 1/2 miler...nothing to drastic.

It will take time...put it to you like this........I weighed 152....I cut out all soft drinks, no candy chips or any snacks other than my healthy ones, walked about 3 miles 3 times a week and I weigh 132 now....it took about a year.!!
Good luck!!!!
