Do you believe that ghosts exist? If not why? If so, what proof do you have that leads you to believe so?

*I know ghosts exist becasue I have seen them. I did not believe in ghosts at the time. I am now a certified ghost hunter and paranormal investigator and I do not agree with the attitude a good many ghost hunters have. They feel like using the so called scientific techniques we use that someday one of them will capture that one picture, one EVP, one video and prove to the real scientific world that ghosts exist.

Some day real scientists and real researchers may find proof, but I doubt it. Ghost by their nature cannot ever be proved. They exist on a different plane a different deminsion than us. We would first have to discover the plane they exist on and prove it, then we might prove ghosts, but that would be kind of like trying to find heaven.

The reason I know ghosts exist is my first experience which I give some of it here but not in full everyweek. It was 1972, I was newly married living in a small one bedroom house we were renting for $50.00 a month. I was asleep, but woke up and saw this old man standing at the foot of my bed. At first I did not panic, because I used to want to be a scientist, so I developed a scientific type attitude at a young age. That is do not believe everything you see or hear and especially right after sleeping because you may not acutally be awake.

After I realized I was awake I sat up in bed yeliing at this old man to get out of my house. After a minute or so I started getting out of bed ready to fight if I had to, and the old man pointed his finger at me and said"NO! YOU GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! THIS IS MY HOUSE!" and then he vanished.

Being one not to believe what I see and hear I searched the house and both doors and all six windows were shut and locked. Later a school firend was across the street visiting his parents and he grew up in that house accross the street, I told him about the incident and he asked me to describe the old man, so I did. He went inside and came out with a picture and asked me if that was who I saw and low and behold, it was. My friend told me that old man died in that house several months ago. At first he did not want to live there because after his wife died his kids sold his big house and forced him to live in that small one, but after a year or two he got comfortable there and hardly left and stayed inside most of the time. His son had to do the yard work.

So from what I experienced and judging from my friends information. That ghost was a lonly old man in life and was probably still here because he was afraid to move on.

As a ghost hunter I can tell you that cases like this are very rare and many theories abound out there as to why. But they do exist because most famous haunted locations get famous due to being seen and heard, but very few ghost hunters actually see an apparition or voice, no hard evidence is ever captured.

the modern ghost hunter relies on pictures and recorded voices called EVP and most pictures are not full body apparitions, but orbs, mists and other unexplained anomolies. These anomolies most of the time are natural and it takes much work and study to be able to determine if something is normal or paranormal. Mis information abounds and comes from the so called experts. It took me a couple years reading and studying all the material out there today to be able to know decide what to believe and what not to believe. Most people do not do that, they simply take a one day workshop from a so called famous ghost hunter and believe all those theories. There is nothing really wrong with that, but most people including the famous ghost hunters have never seen a ghost.

I believed because I saw one and had other experiences then nearly 30 years later with the internet and books, I decided to leanr the modern theories of ghost hunting.

My opinion is no more valid than anyone elses and I realize that, but I do not believe ghosts will ever be scientifically proven.

Ghosts are real but for whatever reason they do not show themselves to everyone and not everyone who believes have had experiences like I did. I do not have room to go into all the theories of why because that takes a lot of time and space to talk about. There are many theories out there and each person decides for themselves based on their experiences what to believe.*

I know for sure that one ghost exists: The Holy Ghost (mostly called the Holy Spirit). If not for the Spirit, the bread and wine at mass wouldn't change to the Body and Blood of Christ. No. I believe that demons exist and they can make you think that they are the ghost of a loved one so that you will get caught up in them and talk to them and "befriend" them. The Bible tells me that when people die, they either go to Heaven or Hell. It is impossible for dead human spirits to walk the earth. It is VERY possible for angels (whether from Hell or Heaven) to walk the earth.
