It means you go for a mammeogram immediately. There might be nothing wrong - but please get it checked out. Getting mine checked out early saved my life.

You should read the phamphlet "Understanding Breast Lumps" (you can find it online with a search engine.) Then you should get a biopsy ASAP. That is the only way to be sure that it isn't cancer. I am concerned by the fact that you have hard, painful lumps under your arms too. That could indicate that you have cancer in your breast and in your lymph nodes, in which case it is important to begin the diagnostic, and if necessary treatment phase quickly.. Please do not delay a biopsy!

Could be something or nothing. The only way to find out is to get to the docs. If s/he feels it necessary they will refer you to the hospital. At least do yourself a favour and put your mind at rest.

I am not as has been suggested, an ignorant. I am a breast cancer survivor. As for the comment about breast cancer not hurting, that could be a big dollop of B.S. My breast cancer hurt, which is why I was kept waiting for 8 weeks before I saw the specialist. The best advice is go see your G.P. and get checked out.

It is probably swollen glands but you must get this checked out as soon as possible. There is always the chance that it is something more serious and the quicker you deal with it the better the outcome.

***** IT IS NOT BREAST CANCER ******

My mum is a pallative nurse so please, please don't listen to the ignorants here. Breast cancer DOES NOT hurt!

It sounds a lot like a cyst of some sort or even an abscess so just head down to your doctor and he'll hook you up with some antibiotics or a quick removal! Don't worry about it - you're perfectly fine :) Lots of people get them!

could be reaction to deodorant, getting your period or signs of cancer. if you can rule out the first two, the next thing for you to do would be to grab your shoes and run to your GP
