The answer is that the more ruins they discover there that have origins other than jewish the harder will be for them to rebuild the temple of Solomon.

It's called verifying the evidence. Many frauds in the area of biblical antiquities have been perpetrated, especially in recent years.
With the ongoing arab excavations of the temple mount, the ongoing arab destruction of antiquities from both the first and second temple eras and the arab propensity to create evidence in the media, anything that is claimed by the arabs must undergo a diligent verification process.
If the evidence is true that there is an medievel prayer room next to al-aqsa...what does that prove? No one has ever suggested that there hasn't been a muslim presence on the mount for over 1000 years. On the other hand, the muslims, especially in recent years, have promulgated the lie that the Jewish Temple, which are recorded in third party histories, never existed or at the very least existed elsewhere.
So who's the more reliable. The ones who wait to verify their finds before publishing them or the ones who destroy the evidence and deny the existence of well documented historical truth?
BTW: you really must learn how to phrase your premise. If the Israelis are liars, as you claim, then their announcement of the find is fraudulent and no such prayer room exists. You are just another example of the intellectual dishonesty, disingenuousness and pathological prevaricating to be found among arabs, muslims and those who support them.

how many muslims have been activily fighting the israelis efforts to use archeaology to discover more about the temple mount? not a very popular thought? get real. they don't owe the muslims anything. but the muslims think the jews shouldn't even exist. at least the israelis announced it, how many muslims were involved in keeping the work from going forward. blame the muslims for the silence. they dish out their gfarbage, but can't take a boit of good news with a polite thank you for saying something aboput the prayer room. we wouldn't have told you squat.

If the complete truth were told here, it would be more enlightening.
There are reasons for everything, so don't just jump on them saying it is a proof, or implying that it is a proof that the Jews are hiding anything.As if the muslims were hated withiout cause.
Consider the sources you quote...aren't they prejudiced?
And actually, there are no Palestinians. They are all arabs. They weren't there until AFTER the Jews came back and made the land worth something. Read the history CAREFULLY.

The Israeli version of ANYTHING is the version that works best for them and to hell with anyone else.
They lied about the attempted sinking of the USS Liberty in June, 1967 and that lie was against the US. They have no qualms at all about lying to a bunch of unwashed Palestinians.

Also, Christian churches have allowed archaeological digs on their properties (up to and including sanctuaries) for over a hundred years. Christians aren't afraid of the truth, and when evidence is discovered, it's promptly published.
The "holy ground" of Christianity is the hearts of believers, the spirit of the regenerated man, regenerated by the love of our Savior...not some building or land.
