a great exercise for the stomach.....pull in your stomach by trying to get your belly button to touch the spine. Use the muscles to do this.....hold it for a count of 15 and let it out. Do this 3 or 4 times to start and gradually build up the time you hold it in. This works the transverse abdominal muscle. You can do this anywhere...even while driving.

Diet, diet, diet...

And even once you clean up your eating it may take some time to see the results you want. Unfortunately fat loss is not something we are able to target.

Sit ups tend to put a lot of undue stress on your lower back so I would stick with crunches. This is mainly because most people do not have a core strong enough to perform a sit up with a straignt back throughout the movement. This leads to curling the back up when performing the movement to compensate. All of the exercises mentioned by 4ever are great ab builders and toners.

I don't know what types of routines you are perfoming during your exercise, but try some circuit training to keep your heart rate up. Perform exercises in a circuit without rest, and then break for 60 to 90 seconds before performing two or three more circuits. The elevated heart rate will help you to burn more fat during your workouts. The more intensity you have, the more you'll burn.

Also, tailor your eating to your bodies needs on a meal by meal basis. What I mean is, make sure you're fueling up for the task before and not after. A big dinner after your workout is a big no no. Fuel up before and stay light on the carbs post workout by eating some lean protein and vegetables. You don't want all of that heavy stuff in your stomach overnight when you're sleeping.

Best of Luck!

The Total Gym has many exercises you can do for the abs. Just lying on your back and raising you two legs together off of the floor and holding for a count of 10 is also good. Do this several times at a session, then turn on your side and do the top leg up and down for a count of twenty for each leg switching sides.

There are several exercises that are great for toning up the abs.
Situps are not bad for your abs and are quite effective, but I'm sure you're already doing those. You can also perform planks, side planks, bicycle crunches, hanging leg raises, corkscrew, there's a ton of exercises really.

Also do not forget your diet. The reason your stomach is not more toned is because of the layer of fat that is covering it up. If you reduce your body fat then you will be able to see more tone.

long sessions of cardio like jogging or cycling. try for 20 mins a day 6 days a week, then every week add 10 mins until you are doing 1hr a day.

situps do not allow you to lose enough fat from the stomach area cardiovascular exercise will burn fat pretty fast!

you could also try to hold the beginning of a press-up position while holding your tummy in for a maximum of 3 mins a day also.

The best way is to
- Do anti-gravity exercise like jogging or skipping. Try not to do exercise like biking where you are sitting while exercising.
- Do not sit too much especially after meals. Try to get up and walk more.
- Cleanse yourself by taking a liquid diet to remove the fats. (fastest way)

lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, breathe in and then breathe out, when you are breathing out pull in your lower tummy muscles, do this for 5/10 mins a day twice a day, you should feel your muscles working straight away and within a reasonably short space of time your tummy will be flatter, it worked for me.

The stomach is mainly about diet. You can do situps until you puke and still not have a six-pack.
