I got him something for V-day, but I dont think that he got me anything. Should I still give him my gift to him (nice card & kenneth cole gift card $50)? Or just b/c your have valentine, does that mean that you have to buy a gift?

Being someone's valentine doesn't mean you HAVE to buy them a gift. It's about showing someone you care/appreciate them. If he didn't buy you anything, wait to find out if he planned out anything special for you, or if he has a different way of showing he cares. If he didn't do ANYTHING for you, well then maybe you should talk with him.

And if you already bought him the gift, and you care about him, there's no reason you shouldn't give him your gift. At least one of you is showing that you care. =) Good luck

They are about the giving. Give it to him because you got it for him, not because you expect something in return. If he doesn't have a lot of money to spend, is not into Valentine's Day, or has some reason for not getting you a gift, you guys don't have to exchange presents. You can decide to go to a place you both like, do something together and alone that you both enjoy, cook a meal together... Anything!
But it's not required to give each other anything, do it because you just want to. :D

Its nice to receive a gift, but I personally think the joy is in giving a gift.
Give him your gift because you want to - not for what you might get in return.
Some people appreciate the thought of gifts and others are not that affected.
My cousin always gets me a bottle of alcohol as a gift, not my taste at all, but I know she loves me just the same - I really enjoy when she cooks for me when I'm hungry at anytime, that to me is a true gift as i hate to cook.

Is Love about the giving? Or receiving? It's neither. It's about the feelings that you get, while you're in Love. Gifts should be an extension of that Emotion. Do as you will. Respect yourself. And only ask others to do the same. I wish you Love, in your Life.

Gifts are from the heart when and if you give them! Now if you are always giving and never receiveing then you are just being toooooooooooooooo generous. You did get the gift for him so that should be up to you if you want to give it to him now if he didnt get you anything if you will be so upset about it then just keep the gifts for yourself!

Why did you even thought about of giving him a gift in the first place? because, you wanted to and it is your nature to be thoughtful and caring.. so i think, you should still give the gift to him, better late than never also. (what if, he have thesame thought... its the 19th of Feb now and still you havent given your gift, maybe he's thinking you dont have anything for him either.)

v-day is over isn't it?

You only give that kind of gift to someone who you are really connected with - otherwise you come across as being too something or other - and if he didn't get you anything than you'll both feel bad.

cards and gifts are all about the thought. You thought of getting him something and you did. I guess he didn't think he had to buy you anything so he didn't

For me it's the giving that makes my day. I would rather give than receive.
