I'm a nurse. I don't know specifically you want to know about the surgery, I could tell you much. I think the most important thing to know is to follow all the after care instructions. If you don't understand something before they began, ask. Make sure you understand fully the procedure and all the risks. Try not to worry everything will be OK. I know this is a difficult time for you. Try not to go alone if possible. I crochet, and that works for me. Find something that can keep you calm. I am a Christian and I will be praying for you as well, take care.

Kyphosis is considered a normal curvature greater that 45 degrees of the spine. But as far as I know he dont need an operation, just bracing or corcets to help straighten his spine.

Ask the specialist for more detail - he/she will be happy to go into detail on it. You can then ask such things as success rate, risks and side effects as well.

Hi!
Sorry, I can't help, but I really feel for you both.
Give him my best and I hope that you all manage to cope well with the operation and all it entails.
Best of luck!
