Besides the fact that you keep getting cheated which illustrates that this method clearly isn't working for you, how can you think that people are being totally honest?
The problem is ultimately, even people who are honest about themselves are being honest about who they THINK they are, which might be sooo different from who they actually are. You know those people who think they're so easygoing but they're actually uptight? Or those people who think that everyone loves them, but people snicker behind their backs? Online, because you're not seeing someone in a range of scenarios and around different people, you're only seeing what they present to you. And a LOT of people just don't know themselves very well.
Try meeting someone in a different arena. Like in an activity setting. I recommend indoor rockclimbing -hot hot guys, no girls anywhere. Or at an activity that you're into, like at art galleries, or film festivals or volunteering at the animal shelter. Guys are everywhere - and they're far less likely to cheat you if you've met them in real life. And you can make your own decisions about their characted based on their actual behaviour as opposed to the rapidity of their responses in messenger.

I don't know where you're looking, but maybe you should get off the net. It's impossible to "fall in love" on the net. You can neve know someone fully by just chatting or emailing them. You're only seeing an edited version of who they really are.

hey firstly ignore the folk who say online dating never works or that it is for desperate losers...we've recently been to a wedding of 2 mates who met nearly 3 years ago through the net and they are genuinely happy and in love....in their case they used an online dating website but only as the first step..they very quickly moved from online chatting to meeting in person...in just a couple of days...Im guessing if you cant arrange to meet the guys (in a safe neutral place) say within 1-2 weeks of chatting then Im guesing you want to give them a wide berth

Don't bother with the guys on the net! They will tell you everything they think you want to hear.
