I assume you are referring to Idle Air control Motor. Most of the time, when this is inoperative, the vehicle will not idle, it will die when you remove your foot from the accelerator.Other symptoms, but not all inclusive, may be fast idle(sticking I.A.C. motor) engine slow to idle(sticking I.A.C. motor). NEVER use carb cleaner on fuel injection throttle bodies, this will wash the coating off, and ruin the throttle body, ALWAYS use throttle body cleaner ONLY! hope this helps.

I assume you mean idle air control motor, it will set a code, and/or not compinsate the idle for you.

engine starts, won't idle and die out. Usually more in the morning or when the car is parked for several hours.
