Back pain had many many cause, usually it is located between the L4 L5 vertebra, but it really depends on age, what you were doing and if you have a history of osteoarthritis or calcium deficiency in your family. If you doctor is not giving you answers you need to see a specialist. I don't recommend a chiropractor if the cause is NOT muscular.

Considering there is numbness I don't think it's going to go away. Numbness usually means there is nerve damage or something else is pressing on a nerve like a bad disc. There are free health clinics. I would go to one of those to get checked out as soon as possible.

I find swimming a good way to help your back pain. Try swimming 3 times per week. It also a good form of destressing your self and exercise.

You don’t have to get worried about it. It could be because there is not enough blood circulation due to perhaps disuse atrophy or perhaps due to the fact that part of your body was at rest for two or three hours. You can find good home remedies for this. I did find some at http://ailments.in/peripheralneuropathy.html

this will not go away.
you need to get to a chiropractor, for xrays to your spine and treatment.
you sound to me like you have either a pinched or herniated disc, or some type of growth in there laying on your spine.
this is serious, and you need to seek medical/professional help asap, if it gets much worse, you will not be able to walk..
go now...
