Our kitchen cabinet is going to be painted (at last). But we can't decide what color to paint it with. Actually the color of the kitchen tiles is maroon (kind of dark maroon). So what color goes well with that?
We really want it to come out well. We can't afford to change it if we didn't like it. And the house would most probably be "passed on" so ^^, you get what i mean.

P.S: The cabinet is made out of wood with not much design on it. And the kitchen is simple yet elegant (as our neighbors who see it comment on it.)

Oh, your after my own heart.
I love maroon for indoor house paint.
Colors that would go well would be a combo of black and gold. If you have a pick kitchen, black cupboards with gold details.
Otherwise, you can just take a look at the color wheel and find the complimentary color of maroon, which should be sort of a deep foresty green.
Otherwise, i think a goldish yellow would be good, if youre brave enough to pull it off, because it can either look great or horrible.
When in doubt, go for white or black, black would look the best, but it will make your kitchen look smaller.

A soft creamy yellow would be beautiful with it, but so would a clear glassy aqua color. A good neutral is Cowslip 2 from the Valspar line at Lowes. It's a rich cream color and works great to make a house classy without being blah.

Just repainted my living room. The shorter ends walls in a dark maroon, almost burgundy wine color. The longer walls in what Behr (Home Depot paint)called 'Russian Blue'. Actually more of a gray than blue, except for when the sun shines on it.

Cream or off white. Since the panels are simple, you can add wood applique's. You could faux finish the appliques with a glaze!

OK THE BEST OPTION FOR THOSE KITCHEN CUPBOARDS IS TO PICKLE THEM WITH A GOLDISH COLOR MORE LIKE A ANTIQUE GOLD OR HISTORIC GOLD THAT WOULD ENHANCE THE KUTCHEN AREA WITHOUT MAKING IT APPEAR DARK

I think cream, bamboo green or terra-cotta are complimentary colors with marroon.
My bedroom is chocolate brown with bamboo green accessories, I love it.

light yello, light or baby glue, forest green,navy blue... i think amy of these colors would work well with maroon
