I've been living as this apartment for 2 years now. And now it's like i have to watch my back in case I do anything wrong. We've had a leak in our bathroom from our ceiling, it's taken 3 MONTHS for the drywall guy to come out and fix the ceiling. After the guy leaves a couple days later we get a note on out door saying "Your apartment is unclean" What the F**k does that mean? My boyfriend took the note to the office and the lady there said she doesn't know why they sent that out, she says that she will send it out when there are feces all over the place (our apartment allows dogs). So she said she would talk to her maintenance guys to find out what the problem is, That was a week ago! I feel it's an invasion of my privacy, I pay them money to live here, and if I am getting knit-picked about everything I do by the maintenance guy that lives upstairs. I really don't want to live here anymore but I don't want to move again. What can I do to make them stop this bullshit!?

They've changed management about 4 times since we've moved in here. And just recently, within the last 4 or 5 month, we have been picked on. About the dogs, where we park the cars, how my apartment looks what we put in the window, we got in trouble for having a "coors light" neon sign in the window. This is really starting to get ridiculous

My apartment isn't dirty, there isn't any feces, there aren't dishes piling up and getting mold all other. That's why I think this is bullshit

My lease is up in January of 2008. We resigned two months ago. I don't want to move, I love my apartment, its really big.

i think you need to look into this a little further. first of all exactly who wrote that note, where did it come from? go back to the lady and asked her whats going on. have a second look around your apt and ask yourself is it as clean as it could be? if you have dogs it may smell somewhat (i have a springer and though we cant smell anything i am aware that dogs can smell, and with more than one . . . . .?

Actually, since you are only renting, they CAN tell you to clean up your apartment. Especially feces. This is disgusting and can attract all kinds of insects and bacteria can seep into the carpeting and pad under the carpet. They can also keep your deposit for cleaning when you do move out.

Sounds like you live rather dirty. Coolers light signs in the window wold annoy me if I lived by you, so I understand them telling you to take it down. Remember that your not the only person living there. Clean up after your dogs and buy some airfreshner and you will be fine.
