If he doesn't acknowledge you as his or doesn't want to part of your life, then he is not worth knowing.

I don't know my biological father, He left when I was 2 years old and I've never seen or heard from him. My step father adopted me. I have never tried to search for my biological father because I consider my adopted father as my real Dad. He raised me and took care of me and my bilogical father went on with his life as if I didn't exist. I don't want or need him in my life.

My father passed away on Dec. 12th. I miss him so much. I could not imagine never knowing him. I wouldn't be the same person I am now if it hadn't been for him. He taught me many things and for that I thank him..

I would try to find positive male influence in my life to replace the loss. I used to think that I could replace anything a man could do or give in my children's lives (I have adopted three girls), and I was SO wrong!
I involve good positive role models that are in my family, my church, or my circle of friends to help give them what they have instinctively longed for since they were babies.
I thought that if they never had it, they wouldn't miss it....that just proved my ignorance!

My son has never met his father that he can remember
he was too young.
But I have a told him about him, and answered any questions he might have, He also knows that his life is
better without him.
You might be in the same boat. Has anyone every answered any questions about him that you may have?

i was 1 when mine left, so about 20months ago i found him and it made me feel a lot better. it had been 23 yrs since we'd seen each other, my advice to u is to try to find him and see if u can make a relationship with him. it might not work but at least u can put your mind at rest knowing u tried. good luck.

I would try to find him and get his side of the story. MANY dads are cut out of their kids lives at an early age by selfish mothers that tell the kids he never cared about them. I'd want to know for sure that I hadn't been lied to.

I didn't ... then I did ... then I wished I didn't. I think it's worth trying to find him, but don't expect too much - it didn't tell me as much as I'd hoped about myself, more that I'm me because of me, not my genes.
