Professional boxers always should be aware of every movement of his opponent. The boxer usually checks the shoulders of his foe because it will tell whether the boxer will throw a punch. You also check the eyes and look for fear or anything that indicates that a boxer is tired. You don't really look at the gloves.
If you are the aggressor, you usually look at the eyes. If you are on defense, look at his shoulders so youknow when to counter him.

watch his chest you can see every thing and if he is very muscular it worse for him because he will flex every time with every move.stand at arms lenth and just look at his chest and you'll see his feet,face arms,and shoulders.
