the figures for unemployment, death, hunger, crime and many other difficiencies are rising and what are the world governments doing? they are sending their money into space and blowing it up on the battlefields.
I find space fascinating. But shouldn't the welfare of people be more important. The shuttle programme currently costs about $4.5 billion per year.imagine how many mouths that could feed!
The cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan has soared and may now reach $811bn (£445bn), says a report by the Congressional Research Service. It estimates that Congress has appropriated $368bn for the global war on terror, including both conflicts. It says that if the current spending bill is approved, US war costs will reach $439bn, and it estimates that an extra $371bn may be needed by 2016. On that basis, the two wars would cost more than the $579bn spent in Vietnam

It would seem that i am picking on the US, but this is and international problem and the Superpowers are leading the way to destruction. It time the world governments stopped acting like spoilt children, fighting over their toys, and began taking their people seriously. After all, governments are there to serve, not to destroy them.
