It will vary wildly from insurer to insurer depending on -
Your age
Where you live
How long you have been driving
If you have any convictions
What car you drive
Who else will drive it
Where it is kept during the day
Where it is kept at night
Whether it is modified
How many miles you drive each year
What job you do
What security devices you have
How much excess you want to pay
Whether you want more than one vehicle on the policy
You'll just have to do the same as everyone else - keep ringing round, 'til you find a cheap quote...

Depends where you live - if you live in the UK try a comparison site like moneysupermarket.com
Another way to do it is to ask friends who are the same age or have the same risk profile as you (penalty points on the license, live in the same post code/ zip code etc) to get their insurers and then get quotes from each of these
If you need to get a lower quote - maybe your vehicle is a high risk (high insurance group in the UK) or in a post/ zip code where the car is in exposed to more risk

If you have good credit, you can save a lot of money by asking your current insurer if they have a program that rewards good credit customers with lower premiums. If they don't, shop around. I switched from State Farm to Travelers and our two cars ('01 Ford & '03 Toyota) went from $2,000 to $1,200 a year.
Insurance companies have found that there is a strong correlation between people who are responsible with their credit and those who are responsible behind the wheel.

there is no such thing ( unless you are 70+ or doing what 1000s of idiots do and drive without any ) they all start high but when you get no claims it gets cheaper by the year. always shop around each year never stay with the same company

Welcome to the world of insurance. There isn't a cheapest one, they are all different for different people.
