About time I say. It sure took them long to acknowledge that something was seriously wrong here. I mean, some models out there are really frighteningly thin !! If to ban them for no other reason they should just do it for the risk that they may well just keel over and die on the catwalk. Sudden heart attack, you just never know do you.................. :0)

Excellent idea.
The fashion industry claims that 'thin is what people want', but it doesn't care, and doesn't want to care about the effects it has on young people.
It is clearly shown that girls who are presented with a super-thin role model are in danger of developing anorexia.
For example, anorexia was totally unheard of in Asia before the fashion industry started their marketing there.
It's not about 'giving the people what they want' - that is a ridiculous justification of your own actions.
The fashion industry did not receive thousands of letters begging for thinner models. What they are saying is 'hey, it sells, so it must be good'.
I'll give you two more examples where the fashion industry is destructive: fur and consumerism.
Fur = obvious. If they design fur clothes, people will wear them. It starts with the designer.
Consumerism = buying new clothes ever season. Not because the old ones are bad, but because they are out of fashion. Good for the industry, not for your wallet or the planet.
It's about taking responsibility, and responsibility is way overdue in fashion.

They aren't healthy and a model should be a healthy representation of a human. I think its a good idea.

I think it is fantastic, its a needed change that will benefit all women. Hopefully more people will see that you dont have to be anorexic to look good in clothes.
