Okay dont get on me about this because it not nice. But i have a friend now who has been in prison for 8 years and the judge gave him two years but he says the people there, what ever there called will not let him out,He is in there for being with someone who was young,(teen) .I know its not fair..I told him he is stupid and i dont like what he did but he is a friend for 21 years, he knows now his mistake and learned from it..So my question is, why has he spent 8 years in prison as a SO when the judge only gave him to years? Is there something that he is not telling me?..He has always been honest with me,because otherwise he would not have been my friend. How much time can a person get for that crime???? I need to know this and the other question and i want only serious answers someone in law enforcement maybe
Thanks

it's real simple; he got more than 2 years. his sentence was 2-10. the 2 means if good behavior, he will be in for the max, and that means maybe more than the max. he is a very bad boy.

If this is the United States, there is something he is not telling you. People have to be let out when there sentence is up, even in situations where the it is agreed by the prison system/counselor that the person will reoffend. There are some unique laws with sex offenders/child molesters in some states. You made it sound as if it was a statuatory rape case, i.e. he was over 18 and the individual was younger (14-17) but willing, however if it was more a case of child molestation (the victim was really young, under 14, or unwilling) than they may be keeping him if he is deemed still a threat. I will say that many many child molesters reoffend, and regardless of how much treatment they receive, they are always a threat to children. If that is the case I'm glad they are keeping him.
Of course he could have committed another crime while in prison and doesn't want to tell you about it.

What did he do rape someone? How can he be your friend it sounds like you don't even know this person very well! It is possible he has committed more crimes in prison. If your waiting on someone that has been on the inside for eight years. He may not even be the person you once knew!If your really going to wait you should contact the D.A. and get the info first hand. You can go on yahoo people search and find out all kinds of things you thought you knew about this person.Last but not least maybe you should think higher of your self! Without know all the facts its hard to answer. But it does sound alot like he may have been on parole or probation and it was violated with the new charge. If he was on parole or probation , say 20 years parole, he will start serving that time after the EOS (end of sentence) on the statuatory rape charge.
Of course, the laws are different from state to state, but they pretty much follow the same standard for parole and probation.

Maybe he was sentenced to more time but could have gotten out after 2 yrs for good behavior but hasn't complied. Maybe he has to go through a sexual offender program before being released and hasn't. I know some states have laws that say even though he has done his time for Sexual offending if the review board or whoever believes he is still a threat to society they don't have to release him. I sooner think he isn't telling you the whole truth though.

You may want to rethink your circle of friends......the one you call a freind is not giving you the whole story. Whatever state he is in you need to get online and google the prison system. In Michigan we have what is called the Offender Information Tracking System. Anyone can hop online at that site and search corrections records and find present and former inmates and those on parole. You can even see what they were charged with. I suggest you search the records for your state and you may find out the truth.

A secret agent sounds lots extra glamorous yet is extremely, countless the time, particularly boring. A secret agent won't in any respect provide his profession as "secret agent" while a detective will call himself a detective and promote his amenities, if a private detective. he will produce credentials if required, in basic terms like all different police officer. needless to say a private detective watching a philandering husband or spouse won't march up brazenly and introduce himself as a private detective, yet nor will he conceal his id in the way that a secret agent does.

Maybe he got in trouble while in prison and had some time tacked on, and maybe he just lied about the time he had to serve in the first place. By the way, you look great,,,,!!!
