I am Baptist.
A righteous or virtuous person is one who loves God and treats everyone as if they are important.
A virtuous person does not mind being a servant to others.

Belief system is humanity. The righteous person would be one who could hear his heart's voice and have courage to follow it.The one who lead a path of truth no matter what are the circumstances.

I am a Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Creator of all, and that He provides the way to righteousness.
From a biblical perspective, righteousness usually refers to being without blame, or blameless. The bible says...
Ecclesiastes 7:20
There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.
When Jesus walked the earth He met several who worked to be "self-righteous".
Mark 2:17
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
He came to those who knew they needed Him. He loved them and met their needs.
1 Peter 3:18
For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
So, for those who accept that they can't be blameless on their own accord, and need to rely on one who can help them...
Romans 4:5
But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,
Romans 4:6
just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
So, unlike popular opinion, the bible teaches that Christ didn't come to restrict people to the law, but to free them from the burden of sin (separation from God) to an exciting life of God's righteousness by relying on Him.
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

To receive the "forgiveness" of the Almighty YHVH, you GIVE Him you sins, and He GIVES you His Righteousness FOR them. It is righteousness by faith. (If you have received it by faith, it will over time be reflected in your actions and choices). His is the only righteousness (or virtue) there is, so if you have any, you got it from Him. If you have accepted the package (not just a sample) then you are a righteous person. He is the only one who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean thing!
