Contact one of the mental health charities. See if they have any services that you can join i.e a Drop-In etc where you can both call in and get advice and support. You as her carer need support and she needs to talk with others in the same boat who she can share her fears about medication etc . Paranoid Schizophrenia is one of the scariest mental illnesses a person can suffer because they really are unable to trust people - I feel so for her, you and your family. There is help out there though so please contact either www.rethink.org or www.mind.org and see what they can do in the area where you live to help. Good luck to you and your wife - I hope she realises how lucky she is to have you because I know it is soo difficult to love someone who is so ill

I would have her admitted and assessed in a mental health unit, she sounds very ill and it would give you and your children a break you sound like you can't take much more. It is very hard for your children so perhaps you can get them some help by an organisation that helps children of a parent with a mental illness.
Good luck, and remember that as scary as it is for you it is even more scarier for your wife.

That disorder is all about psychosis and every management needs to be seen as dealing with psychosis. The kids need some shelter from this disorder.

have her committed. For everyone's benefit. Sounds harsh? Well, she'll only get worse.
