Make the house a welcoming present to him/her. Pay particular attention to your own appearance, welcome them to the new home. Have a bath run for them with bubblies and a glass of wine ready next to it. Candles shoud be lit and set around the area. Give them a massage and wash them as they lay in the bath. Let them soak as you prepare the meal or order it! Have nice music on and low lights. You could have some of the massage oils ready to rub into their body. Do not initiate sex, let them decide how the eve plans out. Just make them feel special, loved and cherished. Let them know that attention and thinking about them is more important than financial considerations. Enjoy

what about a personalized picture frame? or maybe knit a nice sweater? something that is cheap but that he will see your effort in it.

Below is a nice simple thought that you can give him:

Daily Love

Materials Needed:
Construction Paper
Markers, Crayons, or Pen
Nice thoughts

Instructions:
Cut heart shapes out of the construction paper. On each heart, write a reason you love or like the person who you are giving it to.

Place the hearts on wall, mirror, etc. and the person pulls one off everyday until his birthday.

Another project... Instructions to make a unique photo holder using an old Cd.

Materials Needed:
CD
Construction Paper or Felt
Glue
Photo

Instructions:
You will cut two heart shapes out of construction paper. You want them big enough to cover the cd and have about 1 inch left on the sides. It might be helpful to trace the cd onto the paper first so you know about what size to make it. Glue the cd to the middle of one heart. Cut a rectangle out of the center of the other heart.

Cut out the details of your photo; for example, if it is a picture of a dog, carefully cut the dog out and discard all the background. Glue your photo in the center of the cd. Glue the heart with the rectangle cut in it onto the top of the heart with the cd. This will look like a frame, and you should se the shiney part of the cd also! Trim any edges as necessary. You can decorate your heart with other supplies. Glitter, sequins, ribbin, etc. - be creative! source: http://familycrafts.about.com/cs/valentinesgifts/l/blcdpicfr.htm

I only ever want small low cost presents from my partmer.

Why not invite him down the pub & buy him a beer or go for a walk in a park. Do something different to the norm & tell him he is lucky cos you love him.

That would be an ideal present for him & won't cost you a penny.

Your love for him means more than anything else in this world..

I would love an Aston Martin

go out somewhere like a city or something that has pretty things to look at and go for a walk...
Or find a park and have a picnic...or you could make him a small movie ..with some computer software..and put all pictures of you and him together..from the oldest pics to the new ones..as memory of everything you 2 have done together.

Go buy a paperweight globe or a miniature globe for his desk.
Tell him - visualize - it's what you are trying give him and provide for him - the world.
Doesn't have to mean financially, but the grandeur of the prize..

He'll definitely appreciate that. Men are symbolic.
Good luck...........................
