They can be frozen off fairly easily..products like Wartner will do it. There is no guarantee that they will stay away as they are caused by a virus and you can always be reinfected

Hi, I've too been told warts are a virus and topical remedies won't kill the virus. I am trying to be different in trying to get you an answer, to give a different perspective. I don't know if the following will help or not, but it is one more route to try! For you, I googled "herbal wart remedy" and there are several sites you might want to look at:
This site has a lot of great info, start here: It'll tell you how you got warts probably and how to avoid in future, as well as remedies and some good advice: http://www.mothernature.com/Library/Bookshelf/Books/47/137.cfm

also:

on this site I learned that warts are caused by hpv, human pamplona virus, one of many strains of hpv causes warts. It is in the same family as HPV which causes cervical cancer (through sexual contact). I thought that was SO interesting, not in a good, happy way necessarily! (and I'm NOT saying warts are a STD! lol)
1 personal remedy that has worked for me: Duct tape, that second guy or so that answered is right. I've used it, and told my DR about it. It works because warts need oxygen to survive. a piece of duct tape on it will starve it for the air it needs! Be patient, it takes several weeks (as opposed to years that I've had a couple of warts before I discovered this)
Good luck!

Cover the wart with a duct tape for 6 days to one week. Remove the tape, soak the wart in water and rub it with pumice stone, sand paper or some other abrasive. Otherwise the duct tape can be used overnight, after applying a salicylic acid based wart remover.More details and remedies at the link provided.

OK, Yes this is odd, BUT IT WORKS.

Slice a slice of Garlic clove, YES, Garlic. Lay it on the mole and put a band aid over it. Leave it on or change for a new one as needed.

The wart will turn black and in a few days it will come right off.

I do not know if it will return or not. We removed one off of my Granddaughters writing finger last year. As of now it has not returned.

Good Luck.

You can burn it off with podophyllin or liquid nitrogen by applying on top of the lesions using small wooden sticks. Alternatively you can have it surgically removed if it's extensive. Unfortunately, there has been no proven methods to prevent recurrence.
