yeah but what do you do? a cleaner is an essential part of every business. otherwise the business would fall down. would you want to work in a place where the toilets are green. dust everywhere etc.? whereas you are probably just have a desk job with any number of the other people.

ps never go to o2 or speak to anyone who works or has a connection with o2.

Her job is not useless...you make it sound like you should be better than her..cause all she does is clean
But she keeps the office clean for everyone ..works maybe night time..so office is clean when you all get there..or maybe she works in the afternoon aswell..cleaning after all the mess you leave.
She cleans the office..the next day is all a mess again and has to do it again.
That would be pretty frustrating..its like taking care of 1000 kids..plus her own kids and/or household.

Dont you think she deserves a little credit ?

If she didnt do the cleaning..who will ...you? ..doesnt sound like it.

cleaning isnt actually an easy job or one that many people go for therefore to have a cleaner you should pay them well for doing it to keep them. I am a cleaner and its not just cleaning.

i know this feeling,

where i used to work the cleaner got more than me, so i asked for a rise, boss said no i'd had one (i was on min wage and the government put it up)So i found a new job.

Best thing to do is ask, then take it from there.

It's not that she only cleans... She cleans up after you!

you may think because you work in an office you deserve more than she does but I'd nearly bet she does harder work than you do...

Eg. you're on this while she's prob cleaning..

What exactly do you do in the office??? - Answer the phone...

Cleaners have anti social hours and generally have minimal absence. Their opportunity for advancement is very limited. What is your function that makes you think that you are more valuable to your employer than the cleaner?

All she does is clean? Maybe if you changed your attitude you would get a pay rise! I think cleaners should be payed top brass, think about it, would you wanna go round cleaning up after everyone?

Cleaning sucks and no one wants to do it so why would you begrudge someone their pay? If you don't think you make enough for idling around yahoo at work hours then look for a different job/career.
