Hypothetically speaking, if the Book of Revelations was proven to be true IE: Jesus took home his people and the Seven Seals and Trumpets began, Would you then believe??
I think its a good question because alot of people here say they dont believe because they have never been shown any reason to.

I dont see how that wasnt clear.
Simply put if the events the bible foretells such as Great Earthquake, Sun goes black, Moon turns to blood or Hail & Fire mingled with blood cast to the earth, third part of trees and grass are burnt up, or The SEA becomes Blood and dead. Every living soul dies in the sea......
Would you then believe?

Hypothetically speaking, if there was ANY evidence for the supernatural claims of the Bible, in Revelations or elsewhere, then of course we would believe (I'll stick to speaking for myself for the time being though). We are defined by our awareness of the absence of evidence. It isn't mere obstinacy. You'll find atheists are flexible in their beliefs about everything else, depending on new evidence. There has been none for God or the divinity of Jesus.
I presume this isn't leading up to an imaginative interpretation of Revelations which reads the relevance of Wormwood into Chernobyl, the reestablishment of Israel or anything else. If Revelations is true, it takes more than a second-rate literary critical interpretation to read events as truth. It says trumpets and horsmen, we expect trumpets and horsemen!

The Biblical descriptions of those events are kinda vague, of course, so it'd be really difficult for anyone to tell that they'd occurred, particularly as we've had people for centuries claiming that some of them had already occurred.
If someone appeared and could demonstrate that he was Jesus, and then He announced that he was taking "his people" and they all suddenly disappeared (or better yet, physically flew up into the sky), I probably would become a believer.
Here's the question you should be asking yourself: why haven't any convincing events ever happened? Believers here occasionally insist that atheists wouldn't believe even if there were solid evidence - but then some of the same believers turn right around and insist that there _is_ solid evidence. They're just unable to give any - but they can point to events that would be evidence were they to occur. It's hard to take that as anything other than deliberate dishonesty.

Friend, I am not an atheist, but a christian, Those 7 seals in revelation & those 7 trumpets, You have to understand it's setting, All seals has been opened except the 7th seal. Rev. 8 & Rev. 10 shows that 7th seal being open, When Christ opens that last seal Time will be over for salvation to us Gentiles, That brings Christ Off the mercy seat. The 6th seal comes after the fulfillment of the 7th seal. That 6th seal shows us the tribulation time, & we Know Christ will have to open that 7th seal of redemption in order to let the great tribulation come about. & Friend those 7 trumpets are for Israel only. They also consists of the 3 WOES.

The bible doesn't 'foretell' anything. People read Revelation, and completely misconstrue what is actually there because of ignorance/lack of knowledge.
Revelation is nothing more than a political attack against Rome written in code for safety reasons. Historically, Revelation coincides with the actions and truths of the Roman Empire to a 'T'.
I've read the original manuscripts, and I have a very extensive background in Historical Theology, btw.

I think what she's saying people, is what if that particular part of the Bible were to come true, then would the athiests believe?
Hmm...I'm not an athiest but I'm not a Christian. I guess I would believe if that were to happen. If millions of people vanished that is. But I really don't think that will happen.

LOL, well, if ALL the christians mysteriously disappeared then I would believe, but by then it is too late, right?
But I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the world to end; you'd be missing out on a lot of good stuff.

people can read the Bible a 100 times but until they find Jesus they only read words . (satan knows the Bible) . Lead people to Christ Jesus by telling the Good News of Salvation . and then people will not only read, but they will also live The Word of God. God Bless and have a great day.

Good question Chrissy,
I do not know why a atheist would read a book that can only be spiritually discerned. But who knows stranger things have happened.
I have never read mien kemph, or the origin of the species
