If you heard people talking and saying different things about someone, the best way to get the truth is to ask the person themselves. Same principle. Ask God. I also get really confused. God also wants you to get to Heaven. He has a map for you, the Bible, which at times is difficult to understand, but He is always willing to help, if you ask. Being a Christian is not about only going to Church, its about your personal relationship with God.

Freind, yes it can be very confussing, & God is not the author of confusion, Turn to Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT(PORK) or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days, which is a shadow of things to come.------- Now Friend in my 37 yrs. of serving God, Believe me I have come across many strange teachings, But I have always said there is a Truth somewhere, So I said I will see what the Apostles of Old taught, & since then, I have stuck with the Apostles Doctrine. Acts 2:38-47 If any teachings can NOT line up with God's word, stay away from it, & I mean line up 100%, even if you only have 2 or 3 people in your church, God is in your mist If you stand for truth.

indeed, the different types of heaven on offer are quite bewildering, and the precise details of what you will find when you get there frustratingly vague. since the chance of actually finding someone who has been and there and come back with some unretouched photographs of the accomodation, vanishingly small. so the best guidelines to follow are these. what are the type of people will you most likely meet when you get there? if you are not too keen on cheerful norse warriors quaffing ale and hurling axes in the dining halls, steer well clear of Valhalla for example. and, are pets allowed in? some heavens ban them you know. will you be required to play a musical instrument, like a harp? maybe it would be worthwhile to get some practise in now, or take singing lessons.
so. what can one say? do your research well. you are liable to be there a long time. (unless you are a reincarnationist of course.)

There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus. The reason why people get confused is because a lot of them don't spend time to learn to know God. It is easier just to say what you heard someone else preached.

It is like people don't know celebrities but they say all kinds of things about them, then if you meet them, you see that lots of the stuff you heard where not true.

Spend time in your Bible, Talk to God, He loves you more than you could possibly understand. tell Him about your question and then He will answer you.

Don't listen to all the rules and stuff that men made. Be still before God and you will know if eating stuff is wrong or not.

Jesus come that we may be free. Don't be burdened by all kinds of laws that just condemn you.

Know that God loves you and would like for you to be in Heaven, He won't make it so difficult that you can't do it.

You can pick any religion you like. Some talk about going to heaven when you die, others call it Nirvana or Utopia - it just depends what you read - but it's all pretty much the same thing.
My advise would be to read up on all of the religions and belief systems available and find which one you agree with most and think you could follow whole-heartedly.
Good Luck :)

Read the Bible, pray. You do not need to get caught up in jealous or legalistic churches.Remember Peter's vision ? All foods are now fit for consumption.I also cannot stand inter-church bickering.
If you can, find a good church in your area, one that isn't legalistic or snappy to other churches. If you are confused about spiritual matters, talk to your pastor/minister.

The New Testament says that believing that Jesus is the saviour and that God raised Him from the dead is all you need to do. You are saved by God's grace and not by your own works, lest any man should boast.

As far as what you eat, the bible says this. "Therefore, let no one judge you because of what you eat or drink or about the observance of annual holy days, New Moon Festivals, or weekly worship days. "

In other words, HOW you worship God is up to you. If you don't want to eat meat, fine. If you do want to eat meat, that's fine too.

Whe we think ourself being something, or want to understand something, our first look is onto our own religious scholors or onto the living leaders of such religion, in which we have taken birth, or we look at our parents. This first look in common people prolong to the period of when they reached to the death, and when they death in front of them, they accept the truth, but then of no use, this is the case with majority.

Give a second look on the world, truth is not so difficult to find, if you are a truthful, but not the so called liberal, secular, orthodox, because they are in there first impressions, which become there last.

Read the Holy Bible (KJV) 1611 and you won't go wrong. You don't need a religion or a church, just believing In Jesus Christ and accepting Him as your Savior and admitting you are a sinner and repenting your sins to God, asking for forgiveness will get you to Heaven. Here is a great website.

Hey join the crowd.
faith leads the path in darkness

all churches and religions disagree with each other, otherwise there wouldnt be but ONE church.

No one knows the truth, they can only believe what they are taught. So the best way is to pray to God and ask for guidance beyond mortal men.
