If you earn more money than you spend, you will accumulate money.
If you eat more calories than you burn, then your weight will increase. Walking only burn half as much calories than jogging. If you are walking in a relax manner, you burn even less. Try slow jogging for better result.

I lost 40 pounds in 16 weeks by walking and by making just two small changes in my diet. I changed from sugary soft drinks to no calorie soft drinks and I changed my afternoon snack to a piece of fruit.
The key to walking as a weight loss mechanism is that you have to walk fast enough to get your heart-rate going and to break into a sweat. Walking two miles in an hour only increases your calorie consumption by about 100 calories a day than you would have burned anyway. Since you need 3500 calories to lose a pound, it would take you a month to lose a single pound. Get the speed up, do 30 minutes everyday and a longer walk on the weekends and the pounds will come off.
And for what it is worth, I've kept the weight off for four years now.

Listen my dear it does but many people dont think so, if you walk for half an hour every morning you will boost your metabolism which burns more calorie and help you loose weight. But you have to be patience for loosing weight, it's not an event it's a process, every step you take for a walk makes big difference in long term. So my dear just be patient and try to avoid fatty food, fizzy drinks and drink more water or fresh juice and you will see the result slowly. Remember loosing weight is a process not an event

Walking is the best exercise. Its gentle on the joints and it speeds up your metabolism. I walk 5 nights a week, 20 minutes at a time and have lost quite a lot of weight even though I still eat the same amounts of food. Get yourself a walkman or mp3 and give it a go. Believe me it makes you feel great!!

Any kind of moving around burns calories. It dont burn as much as some of the other exercises such as riding a bike or swimming, but walking does help, even if its only for an hour a day.
