will dark blue hair dye show up on black hair?

when the colour fades will it show a light blue?

Typically no. You would need to lighten your hair first by bleaching it and then use the blue dye. As it fades, it would become a lighter blue color and as your hair grows, you will have dark roots.

I don't recommend doing this yourself. You could severely damage your hair. If you really want to do this, contact a professional.

I have tried this myself.
I use to colour my hair blue black and after a couple of washes it just wasn't black enough or a redish tinge would come thru. So i coloured blue on top of the black and it sort of went a dark greyish black for a week or so and then it turned out really nice.
But no it doesn't fade to light blue it washes out back to black.

Since your hair is really dark, you should prob bleach it first before dying it blue to make it show up more and I think blue will look awesome with dark hair:]

you will definitely want to bleach it out first to get the color right but u can also try blue black hair dye, it shimmers blue but appears black

no it will just turn to black because my friend has blue high lights with black hair and she gets her hair dyed every two mouths soo that it wouldnt dayed
