I have just had a bluetooth hands free kit fitted to my car (VW Passatt) and now neither parking sensor seems to work. Andybody else with this problem and what did you do ?

i believe the hands free kit has been incorrectly fitted

The sensors are totally different, bluetooth is a totally different technology to the ultrasonic reversing sensor. Sort of like the same difference between a microwave and an oven, if you will.

There's a bad conection, or broken wire somewhere. I'd take it back and tell them to do it properly.

I have a bluetooth car kit, and no it doesn't interfere with the sensors [BMW] I think perhaps you should go back to the people who fitted it. They must have interfered with some wires.

do not get an amplifier, a louder alarm will annoy people and is amazingly antisocial. people bypass deaf on the right end first. What you want is both a visual indicator, or a sounder with a decrease pitch that you'll listen more beneficial advantageous. shouldn't cost a lot, there are a number of of upload-ons for vehicle electric powered structures. Kia may even propose a suitable one on your vehicle, ask your broking.

Whoever installed your bluetooth has probably splice into the reversing sensor power supply and this is causing the interferance, go back and complain.

Parking sensors use ultrasonic so they shouldn't interfere with each other. Check the installer hasn't accidentally disconnected them.
