If it is simple, what simple machine is it? If it is complex, what simple machines can be found there?

I'd be tempted to call a propeller an inclined plane.

I would say it's a complex machine, but i also think it's a matter of opinion. A propeller is complex, the two simple machines are:

1) the torque, which causes the propeller to turn (rotational energy)
2) the thrust, wh ich is the result of the torque (axial energy)
