I believe all medically nessesarry treatment is paid for by medicaid. If you are not getting adequate pain control, I would probably suggest you see a pain specialist. I think the problem is not the payment for the medication, but your doctor is not treating your pain effectively. Physisicans all know or are able to find out how much bang they can get for your buck. If you are in pain, he needs to try alternative measures to get your pain under control. I think if you are not allergic, he should prescribe something else. Morphine is not the only thing available for pain.
Speak with him/her about consulting a pain specialist. They are usually anesthesia MD's with a pain specialty. Also, if your doctor does not get your pain under control, it is time to look for another physician.

yes it does but i think you would be better off with going to a pain patch like fentlyn a morphine pump can cause addication they wonted to put my husband on one and it caused him to see things and at home i couldnt handle that plus it has to be put into the stomach and change the needle every 2 days thats a lot of holes to put in you try going to a pain clinic they can do more than a regular dr ask your de to send you to one that treats cancer patients youll be better off plus youll get more pain meds to last you and control the pain my husband has stage 4 mouth cancer
