Something like lasagna with salad and garlic bread is easy, look on line at www.bbc.co.uk/food and get a lasagna recipe and then make a green salad and cook some ready made garlic bread.

r u indian if yes than don't take tension just made some spicy food if he likes like rajma, chana or may be chicken or if he don't like spicy food then made matar paneer and some other vegetable with roti and rice. and at last some ice cream or some sweet thing. all the things done in outside of the home and with candles if possible. so best of luck.

pasta is always a good choice!
it's affordable as well as having many varieties.i suggest something simple like Arabiata,it's a simple tomato based sauce with olives & lil bit of garlic with some penne pasta or any other pasta of your choice & some garlic bread!
a fresh salad is optional but also great with the meal.

cook some Mexican food, like Chiles en Hogada, Quesadillas de Hitlacoche, Tacos de birria or Burritos de Asada with rice and beans, I'm sure de will love any of these, they look good and are affordable.
