Why would a bomb manufacturer in Iran use the same type of printing system as we do here in the U.S? Does Iran use the same text characters and numbers as the U.S. or do they use a different number and lettering system?

That is a picture of an 81mm US or UK mortar. These are some of the most numerous items to be found in the world. Also, mortars are not used very often in IED's as their explosive weight is so low compared to other items. Most often, artillery shells (120mm, 130mm, 152mm, and 155mm) are use in roadside bombs. Also, Iran does not have a very large domestic weapons program and most things are purchased from Russia and West European countries.

Would raise alot of suspicion.
WHy wasnt it in arabic or whatever they speak down there?

See how quick republicans are to neutralize any evidence, without stating a clear reason?
Thats there whole game if you look at their arguements, lets avoid the true issue and make this into childish arguements that attempt to confuse the real issue.

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates....

"I think there's some serial numbers, there may be some markings on some of the projectile fragments that we found" that point to Iran, he said."

Gates told reporters yesterday that markings on explosives provide ''pretty good'' evidence that Iranians are supplying either weapons or technology for Iraqi extremists.

"I think", "maybe", "pretty good" evidence.....sounds like they have no idea where those weapons came from!

That picture doesn't tell the whole story. That's just one example.

Of course what they don't show you is the Al Quds Guards they caught launching them...

this question has already been asked and answered several times here. this was traced DIRECTLY to iranian militants through gao salvage sales which since have been stopped until better records checks are installed. GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON.
