The reason the police had contact with this kid is because he had just robbed somebody. Then he ran from the police and then he pointed a gun at them. If this is the good kid what the heck are his other kids doing?

This Answergrrl chick is hilarious! If she really a public defender, which by the way always scouts the best and the brightest (ha), she should quit right now and go back to flipping burgers.
Why mom is "whining" is because she lost a child to a senseless reason. The cops do what cops do, you point a gun at us we point one or many more back, sorry if ours work. I promise you those guys will regret it for the rest of their lives no matter what the legal outcome. Mom wants revenge, justice, compensation - all the things any of us would want in the same situation. She probably hates herself for not being a more active parent and is acting now out of self loathing and the need to do something.
If it was ruled justified the cops will come out okay, if not they won't. Either way they have gotten a life sentence they will never be free from. Killing a kid under any circumstances sucks.

The father thinks him and the son are targeted by police because someone with the same name has a rap sheet about a mile long (like cops even knew who this kid was). All Air-Soft guns have orange tips on the end to protect this from happening. It's against the law in the first place to take the orange cap off (it says that all over the gun). I would know this being that I always play air soft. So, when you take the cap off (to make it look real) and point it at cops (which is the last people in the world you would want to point it at) that means you are trying to do something. Just think if that would've been a real gun, and one of the cops thought it was fake. We could have dead police officers. So to answer your question on why the moms "whining" is simply because she wants her son back.
To answer the question for one of the guys above: The reason why in movies they shoot them in the legs, is because it's fake. Know, if you're a cop in real life, and someone points a gun at you, are you going to shoot them in the legs to try and disarm him? who know, he might have fake legs, or he might just still stand there and kill you. So, that's why police officers are trained to shoot to kill, which means, when they pull that trigger, it's meant to kill someone. Also, with multiple officers at the scene, they all usually pull the trigger. Which means that most of the officers probably only shot like five or six times, maybe less, maybe a little bit more.

Read this article. I found it very disturbing. I will tell you why:
1) The BB gun looked like a 9mm? Who in the hell would even have thought of selling these things period, not just to a minor.
2) Although the kid pointed the gun at them which was stupid in itself, was race an issue in this case? Also the fact that it was gang related?
Whether or not the kid pointed the gun at police, the mom is whining because not only was this her baby but she probably thought that her son was being held to different standards.
This is probably why this happened.

She shouldn't be. If she would have brought him up better, it probably wouldn't have happened. He deserved it. Momma should be paying for what she brought into this world. Her can should be in prison to pay for her mistake.

Why are children allowed to carry guns, this is a
problem, if a gun is pointed at a Police officer and
the person is going to use it, they can be shot.......
Child or not, if this can be prevented they do, but
if your child pulls a gun on a Police officer, they
can take action..........................................................

Aaah, maybe because her kid got shot. Wouldn't whine if you kid did something stupid and got killed for it. What do you think a greiving parent should do, laugh and thank the cops who shot the kid. Get real you question is actually insulting.

I don't read links on here but based on your question I imagine they shot the kid before he could do anything to them and they probably shot him 20 time more than necessary to "disarm" him. Why is it that in movies, they always shoot people in the leg but in real life, the cops shoot people 40 times to disarm them? Maybe that's why momma was "whining"
