yeah i do but its my job to i guess.

We have a box outside for glass and cans which was picked up just a few days ago. Since the weekend it is now full of beer cans and wine bottles. Even tho we look like alcoholics i feel good for doing my little bit :-)

yeah its not actually that bad, got a small bin for kitchen scraps that i put in compost bin every other day, plus have rabbit so all the waste from the cage can be recycled as its a non meat eater, any card, bottles magazines, plant material that cant be put into compost bit has its own bin as well which council collects every other week, old clothes kids toys go to oxfam or similar. i was against it, done it for a while and its so easy so its second nature now. girlfriend wouldnt help either until she watched an inconvenient truth; AL gore. what an eye opener! will change the way ne1 thinks!

there are no particular programs here to encourage recycling so I have taken it upon myself to start a (program and I intend to go beyond and turn my house GREEN. I have been doing some reading (not the inconvieniant truth, yet) and I have found some great information one Green living. recycling is easy, takes no time and is a good thing to do, a simple lifestyle change and you can reduce pollution and clean up your little corner of the world why wouldn't you do it. I commend those who do, and urge them to teach others how to do it as well.

Yes I recycle all my newspapers and cans. ( I see your point about the wine bottles, I end up with a mountain of beer cans! ) Also we tend to compost a lot of bio-degradable waste for use in the garden as well.

I just leave all my bottles and cans in a big garbage can outside, the homeless people walk by and empty it about 1-4 times per month because they get money back for them, so it saves me from returning them and gives them a couple extra bucks they actually had to WORK for :)

Of course. Council provides for galss, paper, cardboard, metal. Shame no doorstep collection of plastics though at Tesco 1/2 mile away

Global warming or no global warming, we shouldn't be using up fossil fules if we can help it

Yup, I recycle as much as possible. We have a door-to-door collection scheme, but that doesn't yet collect cardboard or drinks cartons. Those I bung in a couple of dedicated recycling containers at one of our local supermarkets.

I recycle paper, plastic, bottles, tins, cardboard, shoes and clothes. I do my bit for the environment.

We have no choice here, if you have too much rubbish in your main bin they don't take any of it so you got to separate it all somehow. Gits.
I'm not against recycling, but I just don't like being forced to.
