Just don't. All you'll do is make trouble for him.

You texting him isn't fair on his new partner. You have split up remember,so why the need for a 'chat'? Surely you can leave him alone a while and chat to your other friends, and give him a chance to move on, which he is obviously doing. If you don't wanna be pushy, then stop expecting anything from him.Have you ever thought, it might not be because hes 'not allowed',it might just be the easiest thing to say so he can move on without sounding mean by saying 'shove off'?

it still amazes how you can say that without even batting an eyelid. Exes are the greatest threat to current boyfriends. Clearly this guy has moved on and you need to be strong and to try and to move. You had fun while it lasted and now yu ave to let go. And no, don't text him or call him or email at all. if you need to be friends it will happen in its own time when you are free of your emotions for one another

Better to leave it if you cause a rift between him and his new missus he could end up hating you. Cant always stay friends in a close way! Move on girl and get yourself a new guy!

Depends how recently and how you spilt up. If it was very recent then no. If it was a month or more and it was kind of a mutual thing, then maybe just a quick short text. Something like 'just wondering how you are'. But if it was because he cheated on you with her, then why would you want to?

I think if you two still get on then he should still be able to text and chat to you but he'd have to be honest with his new girlfriend about what he was doing and if she really wasn't comfortable with it then you'd have to except this. My partner is still in contact with his ex wife because of the kids but she trys to stir things between us so it infuriates me when she texts or e-mails him but he is honest with me about what she says so i feel like he's not keeping anything secret. I mean hell, she hates my guts from what her texts say but at least i know!! I can see it from your side but also his side, its never easy to remain friends after I'm afraid

Its his decision. It shouldnt make a difference if hes with his new missus, he should decide himself if your friendship is still important to him. I would text him and let him know how you feel, if he decides to be dictated to by his girlfriend then hes not worth being friends with.

Text him (and maybe his new misses) exactly what you just wrote above. Simple. Better to let the new girl know you still want to be part of his life now, than wait.

Be strong,i'd be a bit wary. How come he's got into a relationship so quickly,he was either cheating on you or dumped you to get with this new girl. Keep your dignity.

Just leave it, chances are texting him will cause problems in his new relationship, and if he has to choose he probably will choose her, as he would of done with you before! Best just accept its over and leave it there. If he wants to get in contact he will.
Probably not what you wanted to here but there you go.

Sorry, but you can't text him.
Be strong let things cool off for a while.
If he wants you to be part of his life he will be in touch.
Let him miss you first.
Good luck, hope it works out.
