My first wedding was a traditional church type wedding, big white dress, 3 bridesmaids, I had a horse and carriage take me to the church etc. I did not know half the people there, and I did not see my groom all day after the photos were taken, he was off pleasing himself with all his mates.

Second wedding was tiny, at a registry office, had a few pics taken in a local garden, then had dinner at a hotel and then met friends in the pub at night.

Both of my ex's cheated on me, and I am now getting married a 3rd and final time. Again it will be a small event, registry office, dinner at his sister's house and then some music and chatting and drinks.

Mine was a simple registry Office event in the afternoon and then a sit down meal at our local pub/restaurant. We had 30 guests which included close family and friends. We had a cake to cut. There were no thrills as we were on a budget. I've been to weddings that cost a fortune but i wouldn't change my simple no frills wedding. I got the man of my dreams and 18 years later we are still happy and in love.

My wedding was too much fun. It was huge - we had 500 people, 8 bridesmaids 8 groomsmen 3 flower girls & 3ring bearers - the oldest of whom was 7, the youngest, 18 months.Totally insane, I know, but we decieded that our wedding was about family, so we chose to include ALL our nieces & nephews in the day (and they went down the aisle like CHAMPS, and were angels throughout the whole thing!)

For our reception, again, our focus was on celebrating our marriage with the people we love most, so what we really wanted was a big party - good food, good music and lots of laughter. So we had just that - fantastic dinner, a wonderful dj, and a great party with our friends & family.

Again, while we paid attention to the details and planned carefully, we didn't get overly concerned with controlling every little aspect, because we were more concerned about our marriage than the party. That attitude carried over to our bridal party and our guests, and it was a complete blast!

Three years later, people are STILL telling us our wedding was the most fun one they've ever attended.

We got married on a jetty at the bottom of the garden in Cape Town, weather was perfect, the lake looked beautiful and it was all really chilled out. I went barefoot for the wedding and by the end of the day so were most of the guests. A boat ride around the lake with people waving to us made me feel very special.Best day ever.

We had a simple registry office wedding - lots of friends and family - then back to my parents' house for a buffet. Then we left the old people and had a party in a club near our house, dancing till the early hours... A wonderful, very happy day... 5 years this Friday!

We had a traditional Ukrainian wedding, with about 200 guests. It was in my hometown church, the ceremony was in Ukrainian - guests could try to follow in a bilingual booklet. We had three priests doing the ceremony, so it was very special. The main celebrant was my husband's older brother, and the other two were friends of ours. We had a lovely reception and dance - lots of fun for everyone!

We got married in the courthouse by a really elderly judge who presided over thousands of weddings spanning 70 years or so!
My Mama made my dress, it was simple and light blue. Hubby wore suit and tie. We stopped on the way to pick up my best friend and a corsage for me and a boutonniere for hubby. My sister and her husband met us at the courthouse. Afterward, brother-in-law snapped about 4 pictures, and hubby and I left for our honeymoon. We stopped to eat at a Howard Johnson.

That was 33 years ago. I am thinking of having a big anniversary party some day!

Our wedding was lovely, had a Medieval Scottish look about it, it was done on a budget i made all my favours with net fabric with lolly pops and love heart sweeties made in to the shape of thistles. We were married in a church and they played music from the Capriol suite by Richard Warlock. The Reception went well, apparently a few people fell out but they kept it until closing time, my Mum cried at the wedding and later tried to pass her tears of as sinus problems! The cake nearly collapsed in to itself !During the meal we passed a quaich full of whisky around all the guests to join them together. We got a scorcher of a day for late september. All in all a great day.

Simple but very nice. Small church, Sarah wore a great creamy dress, not too frilly, just very nice. I had a cream tux style jacket (so did best man, everyone else in black) Reception was at the county cricket ground, the sun was out, so we had champagne on the cricket pitch. All round just a very nice day.
Best day of my life.
