muay thai is a very good ma and no doubt some of it's techniques are very strong but you can't compare to another ma because they have a different purpose.good in a ring doesn't nesacerilly mean good in the street.mt is a very good ma to cross train in though.

There are many excellent attributes to muay thai boxing. There is no best or strongest art though. You saw better fighters whose style was muay thai against not as skilled fighters in other styles. Also there is a big differance between the ring and the street. I'm not saying muay thai is not street effective, because it is, just saying that with rules its hard to judge an art.

the best martial art is the one that trains you realistically and how to be able to use the techniques in a real fight or as close as you can get.
muai thai certainly can be, and is one of the better stand up arts on average- of that there is no question.
but the reason mt guys are so good is because of the intensity at which the average gym trains at (i'm sure you could find a gym that trains with the intensity of a kiddie "krotty" class, somewhere). This is generally because the art- and the gym is a competative gym and there is a "self-regulating" mechanism within these kind of sportative arts.
It is hard to promote "chi" when any "chi" fighter or "no touch ko fighter" will end up on his *** in the ring. There is an outlet for the art that creates a system where you know where a fighter comes from and you know if he does well and comes from a school with a lot of good fighters then it is reasonable to believe that the school is very good. just like a good boxing traininer or judo coach.
people have a way of knowing through a sportative mechanism that can readily be taken to a "no rules" environment and easily succeed (without weapons of course).

Muay Thai lost all the way.
This was actual tests of the skills done professionally.
Funny watching Muay Thai guys getting thrown on their heads.
or out of the ring, they got slaughtered.
The facts are now known, no matter what anyone may say or think.

I'm Muay Thai fighter.
Yes Muay Thai is one of the strongest form of stand up martial arts, but not strongest of all. There's few others good stand up martial arts such as Kyokushin karate, Seido Karate, Eshin Karate, Shidokana karate, etc... along with boxing, San Shou, San Da, and few others.
With proper training, in a stand up fight, they can give eachother run for their moneys.

what?!?!
there is no best form of martial arts. it's just the person doing the martial art. and there may be a best martial art for a certain person or group of people but never for everybody.
and if a muay thai fighter was sparring a kungfu/tkd person who thinks it's sparring, they're dead. muay thai sparring is different than point sparring (i think).

There is no "best" Martial Art. What you saw was 1 Muay Thai fighter against 1 "Kung Fu" fighter & 1 Tae Kwon Do In. You can't generalize from that.

Muay thai techniques are more than compared to kung fu or any other martial arts. Muay Thai is best form of martial arts because of one specific reason i.e. in Muay thai when a person hits other person, the person who is hurt will die out of internal bleeding and will also not know about his death

no martial art is the best. it all depends on your personality. and physical shape. muay thai is very phisical and maybe the other styles aren't as physical
