Also, what is the best way to style it? I have been told that I should change her parting regularly, is that right?

oh it sounds like you are describing my daughter!!
i always split her hair (as if you are about to do bunches) then on each side do 3 little bunches (top, middle and bottom) and then plaits coming out of each little bunch,it looks good and stays in for a couple of days with a little bit of help from hair spray!!
good luck

Yes, that will perhaps help with growth patterns. But I cant say Im 100% sure. I say, if your daughter is not bothered by the peak, then let her have equally lengthened hair. If the peak is "that bad"....I'd say do some good old fashioned bangs; and if that look is too old school or not her thing....tier it to one side or the other; you know-like a 45 degree angle perhaps?

Good luck!
PS....could u add additional details...bc' I dont know what a "double crown" means? Plus you didnt mention how old she is. Im assuming 11 or younger, so that you are the primary one responsible for making her hair look cute :)
GOD BLESS!
