I've asked a question that could fill a book, and I want to hear your views. I'm a 20-year-old college student and I can't seem to find men on the same level of emotional maturity that I'm at. Any suggestions? Is this difference about hormones? Culture?

Do these guys tend to change as they mature (as I hope)? Or am I just not finding the right ones?

Really?

People age at different rates regardless of gender.

By your age I had lost 3 people to cancer, and seen enough violence to last 5 lifetimes.

You're still a kid -- but growing up fast.

I think people put too much weight in emotional maturity. Your emotions do mature. I realize that. But becuase someone does not take things as serious as you do does not make you more mature about it. Just different! There are those out there that are the same as you are emotionally. If that is what you are looking for then look for it! It has little to do with age and more to do with who they are!

You are definately not finding the right ones, I would suggest changing the atmosphere in which you are trying to pick up guys. The library believe it or not is a great start, unintelligent people generally avoid the library, same goes with musicals and operas. And if those aren't appealing to you at all, try to find a retro cafe style lounge.
Good luck!
