Normally the night vison glasses and constant note takeing that gives them away???
Seriously though all people are different, it is not till you start to know them that you will find out if they are crazy controling stalker or not..... just keep a fresh supply of bunnies out back and a few large pots!!!

It's hard to see them at first glance.
I've noticed their mannerisms seem to be emotionally clingy and they don't seem willing to let go of communication with you or they become angry or irrational about it.
Some are benign, but they often "just happen" to show up in the same places that you do, stare at you, etc.
They develop a fixation and fantasies about you. Unfortunately it is hard to pinpoint them until it is too late.

Look out for people who try to control you. They will try to make you stop seeing your friends and family. They will be very self centered and narrow minded. They are more prone to threats of violence. Watch out for comments about past relationships that show disrespect for previous dates. "Ask to find the answer" Good luck.

they push for quick involvement, they say "I never met anyone like you before" and "I love you" on the first date... they get jealous and controlling
